Do you think the public sale of fireworks should be banned?

● Susie Jones Windy last night but idiotic people still set off fireworks

● William Wright no as its a culture thing and a reminder of freedom

● Sharon Douglas Yes ban them!!!

● Suzie Edmonds This is the medias annual question . . . since 1960

● Joe N Sherrie Ngatai Absolutely public displays only. The people who set them off early hours in the morning, during the day and any other time they see fit have literally blown the acceptability of guy fawkes to pieces. I wonder if they still teach children why it is celebrated?

● Karen Nicholson Yes

● Kay Edith Holdem Yep but need a display done at schools so we can enjoy them still

● Marc Duffy No chance

● Rachael Hope Ban stupid, ignorant people instead !!!!

● Christian Collier Ban them from the people that want them banned

● Valerie Gow Ban them I say, some people spoil it for the rest that’s

how life is, so ban them.

● Nicola Mulgrew Yes let’s ban them. Let’s ban everything that anybody has ever taken any dislike to. Let’s make sure we live in a place where any disturbance of some people is swiftly removed from society so that we don’t have to suffer the indignity and injustice of things being around that we don’t like.

● Jill Cotton How does anyone afford them ? Ban them asap.

● Barbara Steel So Acc say the rate of injuries has decreased what about injuries to our pets. Does anyone have any statistics for this?

● Madeline Bettle Probably because people know ACC won’t pay out so don’t bother claiming!

● Mercedes Knight No

● Lola Hill Yes ban them kids going hungry while adults buy up large

● Tracey Joubert 26 callouts by fire and emergency staff over this weekend at I wonder what cost, doesn’t include cost/stress of animals hurt/lost — managed public displays fully support — there are too many idiots out there
