Port gets packing

The Port of Tauranga completed its largest-ever cargo exchange on Thursday to ensure essential goods get where they need to be. The Sally Maersk container ship exchanged over 9000 shipping containers over two and half days, before leaving for Taiwan. The Port’s chief executive Mark Cairns said the exchange “blitzed” the previous record of just under 7000. He said the effort was “outstanding”.
