Pole fire cuts power

Te Puke residents were without power after a power pole caught fire yesterday afternoon. Two crews from Te Puke were called to Rangiuru Rd about 1.55pm. A Fire and Emergency New Zealand spokesman said the fire was out when they arrived. According to Powerco, 96 properties were without power.
