Deadheat flowers

Hot, dry weather is hard on ponds and water features, so clean them regularly, refresh the water and dose with a pet and eco-friendly water-cleansing product such as barley extract.

Stake plants

Stake or tie up anything that’s in a state of collapse, from tomatoes to beans to grapevines.

Get rid of windfall

Pick up your windfall fruit to discourage bugs. Give it away, preserve it, or consign it to the compost bin.
