The Broncos have bolstered their squad for the upcoming season, locking in six players on new deals which will ensure they remain at the club until the end of the 2025 season.

Reigning Broncos NRLW Player of the Year and crosscode star Mele Hufanga, along with fellow Kiwis Gayle Broughton, Neta Nu’uausala and Tafito Lafaele have all put pen to paper for contract extensions.

NRLW veteran Chelsea Lenarduzzi and Queensland Under-19s star Skyla Adams have has also committed to the Brisbane club for the for 2024 and 2025 seasons.

Young gun Cassey Tohi-hiku has signed a long-term extension with the Eels through to the end of 2026.

At just 20, Tohi-hiku has already represented Tonga and the Australian

PM’S XIII, and been selected as 18th woman for the NSW Origin team.

The young winger made her NRLW debut in 2022 and has chalked up 13 games for the Eels.

The Eels also secured rising star Tyla Amiatu through to the end of 2025. The hard-running prop made an instant impact after making her NRLW debut in 2023, to earn a spot in the starting side in the final three rounds of the season.

Meanwhile, the Titans have locked in skipper Georgia Hale on a new deal which will see the New Zealand international remain at the Gold Coast until the end of the 2026 season.

Committed to bringing the first premiership to the Gold Coast after going down to the Knights in the dying stages of last year’s grand final, the 28-year-old forward is set to go one better in 2024.

“A common theme is there is a lot

of unfinished business for us as a playing group,” Hale said.

“The bulk of us are staying together and we are building really nicely. We’ve put together a foundation and the future is exciting.

“Our squad is young and it’s nice that we still have a few of us older girls to mentor and steer the ship.”

Hale becomes the fourth Titan to commit to the Coast until at least 2026 after fellow forwards Shannon Mato, Jess Elliston and Rilee Jorgensen also extended their time. — Nrl.com
