THE SITUATION
HLA broad low is approaching from the Tasman Sea, and should be centred west of Buller at midnight tonight. The low is spreading frontal rain bands onto Aotearoa New Zealand. A strong warm north to northeasterly flow over the country, is turning strong cold southerly over the south of the South Island.
