CONGRATULATIONS ENL!

Electronic Navigation Limited (ENL) is celebrating its 75th birthday. Founded in 1945, the company has been a leader in New Zealand and globally with its innovative products offerings and services. ENL has worked with an array of key industry players – from the Royal New Zealand Navy to commercial fishing operations – and most recently America’s Cup teams, offering product and technical support. The milestone demonstrates not only the longevity of the company but also its ability to evolve with marine industry changes.

In-house product development and manufacturing initiatives have created new segments for ENL. The development of WASSP™ multibeam sonar gave it a global lead in market share for commercial fishing and WASSP™ is now expanding to the superyacht and survey industries. ENL has a number of global patents and IP assets.

Managing Director Gareth Hodson believes ENL’S decisions over the last decade have set it up for future growth and success. “The past 10 years have been critical – making the transition from a family business and traditional importer/distributor to a hi-tech exporter.
