The Hutchwilco New Zealand Boat Show’s most popular attractions will again feature at this year’s show, Auckland Showgrounds, May 18-21, 2023. In addition to all the latest boats, engines, electronics and accessories, the $300,000-plus must-be-won Surtees/yamaha Grand Prize, and the fascinating Top Catch Master Class free fishing presentations, New Zealand’s longest-running and most popular boat show will again play host to the Fishing and Adventure Fan Zone, Viking Kayak’s daily kayak giveaways, Lusty & Blundell’s Haswing Trolling Motor Challenge, and the Coastguard No Reserve Auction.

Scott Parry and Mig Rumney, from TVNZ ONE’S Fishing and Adventure, will revisit the Ultimate Fishing and Adventure Fan Zone, incorporating the popular Fishing and Adventure Kids Club area. Expect activities for kids of all ages, photo ops, merch, heaps of cool spot prizes to be won and, best of all, the chance to win the trip of a lifetime with Scott and Mig on Holy Ship!

Major show sponsor Viking Kayaks will again offer visitors to the show the chance to win a family-friendly 2+1 kayak worth over $2,000.

The Viking 2+1 double-seat family kayak is quick and easy to paddle one or two up and a clever mid-seat makes it safe and easy to add a child, too. Two deluxe seats, Propelz eco paddles, Railblaza adjustable rod holders, paddle and rod leashes, a safety flag and two adult and one child Hutchwilco multi-fit kayak lifejackets are included.

Two of these great 2+1 kayak packages will be won each day. Entry into the draw is free – simply fill out an entry form at the Viking Kayak stand in Hall 5.

Lusty & Blundell will again be running the dynamic Haswing Trolling Motor Challenge in the Hutchwilco Pool. Competitors race a Zodiac inflatable powered by a Haswing trolling motor to complete a tricky course as quickly as possible. The fastest time wins a comprehensive Zodiac Cadet 360 RIB Alu Light prize package, complete with Suzuki 15hp outboard, custom-made Hosking trailer and a pair of Spinlock Deckvest Lite lifejackets, valued at around $15,000.

As part of the Hutchwilco New Zealand Boat Show’s official partnership with Coastguard, the No Reserve Auction will take place on Saturday at 1pm on the Concourse, outside the main Hall 2 foyer. All proceeds will go to Coastguard, the charity saving lives at sea.

The products being auctioned will be on display, along with a brief description and their usual retail value, on the Coastguard stand in Hall 4. They will also be listed on the show’s website. Those attending the show on Thursday May 18 or Friday May 19 can also place bids in a ‘silent auction’ on the Coastguard stand.

Everyone who buys a ticket and attends the 2023 Hutchwilco New Zealand Boat Show has the chance to win the most valuable must-bewon prize ever offered at a boat show: a Surtees’ Limited Edition 30th Anniversary enclosed cabin 7.5m 750 Game Fisher, a latest technology Yamaha F250 V6 DES Offshore series outboard and a game-changing, joy-stick-controlled, fully-integrated Yamaha Helm Master EX boat control system, the prize will sit on a GFAB tandem-axle, wirelessly-braked trailer and comes complete with a comprehensive suite of Garmin marine electronics.

All tickets purchased online also automatically go into a separate draw to win a fully kitted-out, powered Viking Profish Reload kayak package worth over $8,000, plus receive a second, bonus entry into the draw for the Surtees/yamaha Grand Prize.

Thanks to the latest ‘scan and win’ ticket technology introduced by new show organisers XPO, visitors can register their tickets online, or onsite at numerous ipad registration areas, before scanning their ticket at all eight of the show’s scanning booths. www.boatshow.co.nz
