Show brings prizes

With entries up in almost every section, and new exhibitors at the 133rd Woodville Horticultu­ral and Industrial Society Show there were many exhibits to see in the Woodville Stadium on Saturday February 25.

Stars of the show were the dahlias. Top New Zealand judge for dahlias Dennis Rodgers of Feilding said he had judged six shows in as many weeks, and the best dahlias in Woodville were up with the best.

Young Azelle Ballantyne won many prizes for her creations.

Overall points winner was Glenys Pryde. Entering is a family affair, led by the Eades brothers Kevin and Ian and every member of the Cunningham family were winners down to three-year-old Pearl.
