Coinciding with Norway Day celebrations in Norsewood on Sunday May 20, New Zealand Natural Clothing with its Norsewear Brand sponsored a market to help raise funds for its Wop Wops Wetland Development.

Owner of New Zealand Natural Clothing Phil Grant said there was a good flow of visitors through the shop during the day and both the shop and gallery had great trade.

The stall holders were generally happy, saying customers ebbed and flowed according to the events in the Norwegian celebrations.

There was a variety of stalls from the Tiny Dutch Shop’s cheeses to St John Anglican Church jams and chutneys, folk art and painting from IK Art which sells its products also in the NZ Natural Clothing Gallery, jewellery and second hand books, plants and crafts, New Generation liquorice, nougat and fudge plus Kintail honey.

Phil Grant said the Wop Wops Wetland stood to benefit from stall holders by about $500 with donations yet to be counted.

At the Wop Wops Market St John Anglican Church members had a sale of preserves.
