Dannevirke floral artists wax creatively
There was not much to suggest a floral workshop at the Rawhiti Lodge Hall on Tuesday but a dozen floral artists were hard at work creating wax shapes for future designs. In fact the scene looked like a cooking class.
Tutor Linda Barnett supplied special paraffin wax for the challenge which was — to create wax items to be used in a design the following month.
Each artist had her own idea as to what she wanted and the end results were diverse. It will be interesting to see next month’s final designs.
