All 31 bulls sold

Weather for the Glan­worth An­gus sale on June 28 was per­fect af­ter sev­eral weeks of wet con­di­tions.

A com­plete clear­ance of 31 bulls av­er­aged $8000.

Buy­ers came from as far south as Christchurch and as far north as North­land. Top price was $16,500 for Lot 4 to a long stand­ing lo­cal com­mer­cial farmer.

Other top prices were $16,000 for Lot 23, $14,000 for Lot 3, and $13,000 for Lot 22. Most bulls went to long stand­ing clients.

There were three new buy­ers who pur­chased bulls. Shaun and Fiona and Joe and Lea Fouhy were very pleased with the re­sult of Glan­worth’s first on farm auc­tion.

“Auc­tion­eer Bjorn An­der­son did a good job and the sale ex­ceeded our expectations. We will be hav­ing an auc­tion of year­ling bulls on farm on Oc­to­ber 4,” said Joe Fouhy.

Bids be­ing taken for Lot 13.
