Seen a problem s please report it s we need to know

-

Council is encouraging people to be the neyes and earso in their community and report anything they see that may be a problem.

Often the public are the first to notice something that may need urgent attention, but are unsure who they should contact. This means too often a problem goes unreported for some time.

Whether itos a burst water main, a noise control issue, a pothole in their road or a dog that is wandering or appears threatening, these are all issues that can cause concern and need to be reported.

Team Leader Customer Services, Steph Te Huki, says Tararua is a big district and itos impossible to be everywhere at once. pWe want people to contact us when they see a problem, and please donot see contacting us as moaning, we need to know so we can fix it.q

Council operates a 24/7 service and there are several ways to report your concern. Depending on where you reside calls can be made to 06 374 4080 or 06 376 0110. Council staff will answer your call Monday to Friday, 8.00am to 5.00pm. Outside these hours you will speak with the Councilos after houros provider.

Residents can also email their concern to info@tararuadc. govt.nz or report it on www.tararuadc.govt.nz/report-it

Councilos response to service requests or faults varies depending on the type of work needed. Urgent matters that involve risk to public safety, Councilos infrastructure, or reduced service to community will be dealt with as a priority. Other issues may take a little longer as some faults cannot be repaired straight away.

All requests are logged and the actions taken are recorded, so do call if you need us and let us work together to care for our communities.
