With questions ranging from Which Superhero was known as the man of steel? (Superman) to Who is the only female character in the Winnie the Pooh books? (Kanga) there were plenty of which, who, when, what and why questions in the Annual Tararua Library Trivia Quiz held Wednesday evening September 5.

Dannevirke had the most number of teams with 12, but Eketa¯ huna had 11 teams and Woodville 8, the two Pahiatua teams going to their neighbours.

All three libraries were linked by computer so competitors could see the scores every three rounds.

The teams were liberally supplied with snacks for the three hours of the contest. Noone could peg back the Four Horsemen of the Potato Chip’s score of 64, the top Woodville score being Last Minute (59) and Eketa¯ huna’s Krato and Co with 52.

Since 2009 when the quiz began Three Assets and a Liability (MCI and Associates) have won five times but Four Horsemen and the Potato Chips are catching up with three. Results are only a by-product of the fun.
