Kids’ fun for the school holidays
Kids — looking for fun stuff to do during the holidays? The Tararua District Libraries are celebrating Elmer the Patchwork Elephant’s 30th birthday with parties in all the libraries. Dress up as Elmer, play games, win spot prizes. Numbers are limited so pop in and pick up your invitation today.
Talking about fun stuff — the libraries are also running the Maths is Fun programme. “Finding Your Way” teaches you about mapping, grids and coordinates. You get an awesome take-home pack, certificate and a chance to win prizes. To book your place, visit your library.
THE 2Mekekidz Spring Holiday Programme’s theme is Rejuvinate! Come and join in the fun.There will be yoga for kids, spring themed craft, move and dance sessions, great games and much more. They have full day, school day and half day sessions at reasonable prices.They are OSCAR approved so subsidies may be available, pop up to see how their programme can work for your family. MAKE a visit to Dannevirke’s famous Fantasy Cave these school holidays. Kids, mums and dads will enjoy the moving displays, model railway and a surprise around every corner. If you’ve never visited Fantasy Cave, make it top of your list these school holidays. A feature will be kids’ photos taken with a snowman. Photos cost $5. Opening hours are 10am-2pm Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays. Story times are 11am, 1.15pm or any time.
