Saturday is a usual day to attend the Art Society Cottage 30 McPhee Street for its 50+ members but on Saturday September 15 the public was also invited.

They could view the full range of art from concept outlines to finished product in every kind of style from landscape to impressionist. There was a good turnout of artists because just a month away is the Dannevirke Art Exhibition on October 20 which runs each day in the A&P Showgrounds Produce Hall from 10am-4pm until November 4. President Ethne Murton says they hope to have an even bigger show with a number of new members exhibiting for the first time.
