Managh Electrical continuing to grow business
wholesaler, so there is no middle man. This allows for competitive pricing and competes very well against standard non-LED installs.
“When compared to Halogen lighting, the savings stack up in favour of LED. For example, a three-bar fitting with three Halogen 50W lights totals 150W of usage. These could be replaced by three 8W LEDs totaling 24W — a big reduction of over 80 per cent. The Halogen bulbs will also last between 2000 to 5000 hours, whereas the LEDs will last around 25,000 hours,” says Mr Turner.
Managh Electrical is well known for installing competitively priced quality Panasonic heat pumps. They are also the service/warranty agents for Panasonic, Mitsubishi and Fujitsu. You don’t just get a heat pump installed, you also get local service back up and quick warranty turn around.
“Normally we sell around two or three heat pumps in summer. However, last summer — which was really hot — we sold around 17 heat pumps. We’ve been doubling our heat pump sales year on year for the last three years. Summer is a big contributor to that. It seems to be getting hotter each year and a stand-up fan just doesn’t cut it any more. It used to be that we competed against the Fireplace industry, however a fireplace may heat in the winter but it won’t cool in the summer,” says Mr Turner. Heat pumps are leading the way in efficiency.
Over three years, Managh Electrical has consistently grown around 15 per cent in turnover year on year. Diversity has been the key to this growth with an expansion in the range of activities adding workload, such as solar power installations. The public can expect some changes at Managh Electrical’s retail store over the next six months. There will be a range of sales as they reduce their small goods stock and increase in whiteware options. Look out for some real bargains in the small appliance area this month.
