Bur­glar­ies and vi­o­lence

■ Norse­wood/Dan­nevirke/ Pon­garoa:

On Oc­to­ber 30 a res­i­den­tial ad­dress on Ti­ratu Road Dan­nevirke was en­tered and a sig­nif­i­cant amount of prop­erty stolen. The bur­glary ap­pears tar­geted with the of­fend­ers ap­pear­ing to have known the stolen items were in­side the prop­erty.

Dan­nevirke po­lice at­tended eight fam­ily vi­o­lence in­ci­dents in the past week. One per­son was ar­rested for breach of pro­tec­tion or­der. A po­lice safety or­der was also is­sued in an­other.

Norse­wood po­lice at­tended two ve­hi­cle ac­ci­dents over the week. On Oc­to­ber 27 there was a fa­tal mo­tor­bike ac­ci­dent just south of Norse­wood on State High­way 2. On Oc­to­ber 30 Norse­wood po­lice at­tended a ve­hi­cle ac­ci­dent on State High­way 2 where the driver left the road crash­ing through a fence.

■ Eketa¯ huna/Pahiatua/ Woodville:

On Oc­to­ber 25 Pahiatua po­lice at­tended a ve­hi­cle ac­ci­dent where a ve­hi­cle drove into a lamp­post on Main Street.

Pahiatua po­lice at­tended a bur­glary on Inglis Road where a va­cant prop­erty was en­tered and a hot water cylin­der stolen.

On Oc­to­ber 27 two of­fend­ers en­tered a prop­erty in Woodville where an am­bu­lance was at­tend­ing to a vic­tim. They stole equip­ment from the am­bu­lance while the am­bu­lance of­fi­cers were deal­ing with the pa­tient.

On Oc­to­ber 28 Eketa¯ huna po­lice stopped a ve­hi­cle for a driv­ing com­plaint. While they were stopped an­other per­son who had wit­nessed the driver’s be­hav­iour ar­rived and as­saulted the driver. Po­lice took ac­tion against both par­ties.
