A remembrance cross was placed at the foot of Pahiatua’s Cenotaph on Armistice Day.

This cross was made from 100-year-old rimu and mataı¯ by Keith Walker. Poppies were hand-crafted by the women of Pahiatua as their contribution to the Patriotic Call to Yard and presented to the Pahiatua RSA in 2015 by Help ‘n Hand/Bush Super Grans to commemorate the 100th Anniversary of Wold War I.

Each year this special tribute is surrounded by the wreath laying at the Dawn Service on ANZAC Day.
