Crashes and lost ring keep police busy in Tararua

On November 15 Dannevirke Police attended a farm bike accident. The rider was transporte­d by helicopter to hospital with serious injuries.

On November 15 a gold sapphire diamond cluster ring valued at $3500 was lost in Dannevirke. It is believed to have been lost around The Warehouse and New World supermarke­t. If anyone has found it the owner would appreciate you contacting police.

On November 14 Pahiatua police were called to a domestic incident on Tyndall Street. A person was arrested.

On November 15 a large truck rolled on the Saddle Road. The road was closed for a short time the following day while the truck was removed from the side of the road.

The truck leaked a small amount of diesel as a result of the accident. No other vehicles were involved.

On November 17 Pahiatua police attended two incidents in Wilson Street. On one occasion a knife and meat cleaver were presented. The person was arrested.

In the early hours of November 18 Pahiatua police attended a vehicle accident just south of town on state highway 2. The vehicle hit powerlines and the power company was required to fix downed lines.

Late in the evening of November 18 Pahiatua police attended a single vehicle accident on the Pahiatua Track road. The vehicle failed to negotiate a corner and drifted off the road.

On November 19 Pahiatua police attended another single vehicle motor car accident on the Pahiatua Track. The vehicle failed to take the corner at a safe speed and lost control.

On November 19 Pahiatua police please attended a two vehicle motor car accident on State Highway 2, Eketa¯ huna. There were no serious injuries.

On November 22 Woodville police attended a single vehicle accident on the Saddle Road. A ute went over a bank, travelling about 200m before stopping.
