Crashes and lost ring keep po­lice busy in Tararua

On Novem­ber 15 Dan­nevirke Po­lice at­tended a farm bike ac­ci­dent. The rider was trans­ported by he­li­copter to hospi­tal with se­ri­ous in­juries.

On Novem­ber 15 a gold sap­phire di­a­mond clus­ter ring val­ued at $3500 was lost in Dan­nevirke. It is be­lieved to have been lost around The Ware­house and New World su­per­mar­ket. If anyone has found it the owner would ap­pre­ci­ate you con­tact­ing po­lice.

On Novem­ber 14 Pahiatua po­lice were called to a do­mes­tic in­ci­dent on Tyn­dall Street. A per­son was ar­rested.

On Novem­ber 15 a large truck rolled on the Sad­dle Road. The road was closed for a short time the fol­low­ing day while the truck was re­moved from the side of the road.

The truck leaked a small amount of diesel as a re­sult of the ac­ci­dent. No other ve­hi­cles were in­volved.

On Novem­ber 17 Pahiatua po­lice at­tended two in­ci­dents in Wil­son Street. On one oc­ca­sion a knife and meat cleaver were pre­sented. The per­son was ar­rested.

In the early hours of Novem­ber 18 Pahiatua po­lice at­tended a ve­hi­cle ac­ci­dent just south of town on state high­way 2. The ve­hi­cle hit pow­er­lines and the power com­pany was re­quired to fix downed lines.

Late in the evening of Novem­ber 18 Pahiatua po­lice at­tended a sin­gle ve­hi­cle ac­ci­dent on the Pahiatua Track road. The ve­hi­cle failed to ne­go­ti­ate a cor­ner and drifted off the road.

On Novem­ber 19 Pahiatua po­lice at­tended an­other sin­gle ve­hi­cle mo­tor car ac­ci­dent on the Pahiatua Track. The ve­hi­cle failed to take the cor­ner at a safe speed and lost con­trol.

On Novem­ber 19 Pahiatua po­lice please at­tended a two ve­hi­cle mo­tor car ac­ci­dent on State High­way 2, Eketa¯ huna. There were no se­ri­ous in­juries.

On Novem­ber 22 Woodville po­lice at­tended a sin­gle ve­hi­cle ac­ci­dent on the Sad­dle Road. A ute went over a bank, trav­el­ling about 200m be­fore stop­ping.
