Council services over the holiday season
Dannevirke Service Centre closes at 5pm on Friday 21 December and will re-open on Monday 7 January.
Dannevirke Library closes at 5:30pm on Monday 24 December and will re-open on Thursday 27 December (normal opening hours apply). It will close again at 5:30pm on Monday 31 December and re-open on Thursday 3 January.
Pahiatua Service Centre closes at 4:30pm on Friday 21 December and will re-open on Monday 7 January.
Pahiatua Library closes at 5pm on Monday 24 December and will re-open on Thursday 27 and Friday 28 December (9am s 12:30pm & 1pm s 5pm). It will close again at 5pm Monday 31 December and re-open on Thursday 3 and Friday 4 January (9am s 12:30pm & 1pm s 5pm). Normal weekend hours resume from Monday 7 January.
Woodville Service Centre & Library closes at 5pm Monday 24 December and will re-open on Thursday 3 January.
Eketahuna Service Centre & Library closes at 4:30pm on Monday 24 December and will re-open on Thursday 3 January. Tararua i-SITE will be open every day except Christmas Day. Opening hours on weekends and statutory holidays are 9:30am to 2pm; for all other days the hours are 8am to 5pm. Tuesday 25 December will be collected on Saturday 22 December, and Tuesday 1 January will be collected on Saturday 29 December. Alternatively, please check with your supplier. Dannevirke collections will be on Wednesday 26 December and Tuesday 1 January. All other collection days will remain unchanged. All landfills and transfer stations will be closed Christmas Day. Normal operating hours otherwise apply.
For assistance with lost, found or roaming dogs, please contact us on the normal Council phone numbers. All impounded dogs will be held in Dannevirke. If your dog is impounded while we are closed, they may be released, by arrangement, from the Dannevirke pound on 24, 27, 28 and 31 December 2018 and 3, 4 January 2019. Payment for collection will need to be made at the Dannevirke Library prior to collecting your dog, 1 Station Street, Dannevirke, phone 06 374 4255.
