Last chance for unique gifts

Bush Telegraph - - FOCUS ON DANNEVIRKE - By DAVE MURDOCH

If you missed the last two Dannevirke Community markets in October and November you have one last chance to buy unique Christmas gifts on Friday December 14.

It is an evening market and bound to be bulging with goodies for stockings and those difficult relatives who have everything.

The market runs between 4pm and 7pm

Most products in the market are unique and the creations of the vendor, from wooden dishes to children’s books, jewellery to fragrant soaps, garden perennials to preserves and tea cosies to children’s clothes.

The October and November markets were full of choices and the small crowds really cashed in.

Many purchases are winging their way overseas already.

So with just a few weeks to go to Christmas, now is the chance to visit the Produce Hall at the A&P Show Grounds.

Jim Henderson had his latest children’s book on sale.

Cheryl Pomery of Cherinstinct had homemade rustic baskets, hand-carved trinket boxes and cupboards.

Joy Kopa was all set for Christmas at November’s market.

Tania Roebuck guarantees her Tui Glen products are all made from recycled materials.

Donna and Amy Harold sold pictures made from beads.
