New name for Tararua community trust

-

The Trust Tararua is the new name for Pahiatua Community Services Trust.

Established in 1991, Pahiatua Community Services Trust is a one-stop shop that supports the Tararua community from pregnancy, birth and parenting through to the senior years.

Based from their Pahiatua office, ‘The Trust’ has a mobile team of social workers, counsellors and educators who provide caring support through challenging times.

For many years their long name has been shortened to ‘The Trust’. To make this official, and to represent their service across the whole Tararua district, they are pleased to announce that they have officially changed their name to The Trust Tararua.

The updated vehicle signage was celebrated last week with plans to update the other signage in the coming weeks. The trust is grateful to Waggs Holden for continuing to sponsor their car.

Community

Christmas 2019:

The trust invite you to share the magic of Christmas with the wider community by donating a gift or registering a child to receive a gift. Too busy to shop? That’s okay, they can help. You can make a $20 donation and they will organise the gift on your behalf.

Last year, with community support, the trust provided over 90 presents for children and more than a dozen generous food hampers. They know how much of a difference this makes, not only in terms of the gifts, but also in the knowledge that people are living in a caring community that support them.

This year, the trust, in partnership with generous local businesses and community members, invite you to register your child/ren for the free Christmas Kids Gift Shop.

Jump onto their website or give them a call at the trust on 06 376 7608. You can also private message on Facebook (The Trust Tararua) to organise your donation or registration. Raffle:

Following another successful cake stall in Pahiatua recently, there is still the opportunity for people to buy a raffle ticket to win an amazing Christmas cake baked by Di Eagle and decorated by the trust administrator (and cake queen) Jess McNicol. All funds raised will support community services. Please call into the office or contact the trust (as above) to organise your tickets.

The Trust Tararua are always looking for community support. If you’re keen to get involved, please consider becoming a “Friend of The Trust”. You can sign up on their website or give them call to find out more. They would love to hear from you!
