Entertainment for all at A&P Show
Mahon’s Entertainment will provide the screams on Friday evening and Saturday at the A&P Show, the terrier races could provide the mayhem on Saturday afternoon, and the Petting Zoo will provide the cute factor all day Saturday.
The line-dancers and Dannevirke Musos will provide non-stop entertainment on the stage and Billy Black is back to provide his humour with three shows scattered through
Saturday. You could paint or dress a sheep with $100 up for the best in each category.
The children can participate in the REAP-organised craft morning from 9.30am to noon, with the Fonterra barrel train running the same hours and on Saturday.
They can also be involved in a colouring competition with three age groups, the winners receiving $25 each and $100 for their school.
Button Nose Face Painters are decorating youngsters free and the fairies will have baskets of sweets.
Adults can view the demonstrations by the produce hall put on by the Fire Service, Civil Defence and St John.
They can also attend the monthly Community Market this year located in marquees by Mahon’s entertainment. It should be a pretty big market with visitors from Hawkes Bay, Manawatu¯ and Masterton as well as locals.
They can view the many trades exhibits ranging from the biggest tractors to the latest spa pools, water systems to beauty products, insurance schemes to real estate.
Everyone can try their skill in the shooting gallery in the Dannevirke Sports Club Hall sponsored by Hunting and Fishing For Free.
The entry fee has not changed in 10 years: Friday Adults $8, Family $20, Child $5 with under fives free. Saturday Adults $10 — the rest the same as Friday.
