Wonderful Woodville volunteers thanked

On behalf of the community, Woodville District Visions wants to say a massive thank you to all the wonderful volunteers who do so much for our town.

So many people selflessly put untold hours into so many groups, causes and activities — including Fire and Emergency NZ, health and wellbeing, sports, physical facilities, the arts, gardens, and youth activities — all of which make Woodville a vibrant, warm and welcoming place to live.

It’s volunteer awareness week, and a great time to thank the people around us for all that they do.

One area that volunteers have put in a lot of time and energy are our many town events, such as the Mad Hatters Market Day. The volunteers who set this market up, to help support the community and Woodville businesses after the Manawatu Gorge closure, did such a fantastic job that it put Woodville squarely on the market map.
