Tuesday, April 5 — LGU Gold Medal and Stableford Button, MBM Rd 1, 1 Qualifying: 1= M McAvoy and M Brislane 69 nett, 3 N Kelly 71 nett, 4 K Ball 72 nett, 5= P Bisset and M Hunt 73 nett. Twos: P Bisset (18), N Kelly (12), M .McAvoy (9). Accuracy — CTP #9: C Daysh. Winner of Gold Medal and Stableford Button: M Brislane and M McAvoy, both had 69 nett and scored 40 stableford points.

Marquis Shield Round 1 results: The team are off to a good start as one of three on maximum points. The team won 12/6 over Martinboro­ugh at Eketahuna on Sunday, March 27. Individual matches — seniors up 3/1, intermedia­tes even and junior matches up 3/1.

The next round is at Carterton on 1 May when we play Mahunga.

Junior golf is on Sundays at 9am and we have around 20 to 30 juniors aged between 5 and 18 years attending. The sessions are free and clubs and balls are provided.

On Sunday, April 3, the juniors took part in an Ambrose for the first time, with Seona Ashton, Steven McHardy, John Metcalfe, Lisa Cotton and Colleen Daysh helping out.
