347 new cases reported

There are 347 new cases of Covid-19 in the MidCentral rohe (region), with 15 cases in Palmerston North Hospital, says acting MidCentral DHB Covid-19 senior responsibl­e officer Dr Kelvin Billinghur­st.

“If you have tested positive for Covid-19, please log your positive Rapid Antigen Test (RAT) online at https://bit.ly/ 3BLwky8.

“You must stay at home for seven days after the onset of symptoms or your positive test. Please stay home until you have been symptom free for 24 hours.

“If you tested positive for Covid-19 and you have completed seven days in isolation and have been symptom-free for 24 hours, you are free to leave isolation. You do not need a negative test result to return to work or school.”

Covid-19 Testing Update

on Friday, May 6. From Sunday, May 8, the community can receive a PCR test or collect their pre-ordered Rapid Antigen Tests (RATs) from the Central Energy Trust Arena, entrance via Gate 3 on Cuba S, open Monday to Friday 8.30am to 4pm and Sunday 10am to 2pm. Closed Saturday (due to Speedway). If you need a Covid-19 PCR test on a Saturday, you can visit The Palms Medical Centre 445 Ferguson St, Palmerston North.
