It’s the start of a new wedding season – possibly the biggest one any of us wedding vendors have ever experienced. And it’s all thanks to the international pandemic that changed so many people’s plans over the past year and a half. Yes, there are some couples opting to continue postponing their wedding until borders open, allowing family and friends to travel from all over the world, but others are still going ahead. The norm at the moment is to celebrate with those you’re currently doing life with because we just don’t know when things will get back to normal. And, as a celebrant, I’m encouraging people to keep living and loving in the moment because there’s no point putting the rest of our lives on hold. Micro (or boutique) weddings, with 30 or fewer guests, are becoming more popular, as are elopements and registry weddings. With the latter two, although they are smaller ceremonies, bigger after-ceremony celebrations are still happening where you can party big time without the formalities of a large-scale wedding. Whichever way you’re planning on spending your big day, we hope that Canterbury Bride gives you plenty of ideas from our articles, Real Weddings, and new inspo gallery. Would love to hear what you think!
