Tucked away neatly beside the Countdown carpark in Onehunga is The Enchanted Forest, an outdoor mini golf course hidden in the trees.
The 18 hole course is nestled perfectly for a fun day out right inside a beautiful park like setting. Charming flower beds and delicately planted gardens are woven throughout the course and grounds. When the owner Darryl Prout took over six years ago, the place had definitely seen better days. Darryl has worked tirelessly to transform it into a fun and entertaining family day out.
Darryl’s mission is to create an experience that is evolving and changing so that when people return hopefully they will find something interesting and new.
"Our aim right from the start was to create a low cost, relaxing and fun atmosphere - and let word of mouth do the rest" says Darryl.

Visitors and players alike can relax in the picnic and BBQ area and are encouraged to bring a packed lunch, or book the picnic area for a kid’s party for free – just pay to play.
There is loads of free parking and handy shops literally next door, so it’s easy to grab anything you might need at the last minute, including Domino’s Pizza, bakery food and coffee or fresh fish and chips.
An added bonus is The Enchanted Forest is only a two-minute walk to Onehunga Mall shops and DressSmart Mall, with a large selection of cafes, restaurants and takeaways (and shopping!) to choose from.
