Gough wins again

CHB cy­clist Re­gan Gough won the ju­nior sports­man of the year award at the 2018 Hawke’s Bay Sports Awards in Napier on Satur­day night — again.

The Olympic and Com­mon­wealth Games rider, who won the supreme award in 2015, col­lected the ju­nior award for the fourth time in five years.

Hast­ings kayaker Aimee Fisher, the world un­der-23 K1 200m and K1 500m cham­pion, won the supreme award for the sec­ond time in three years af­ter ear­lier win­ning the se­nior award.

Alpine down­hill skier Piera Hud­son, who grew up in Tikokino, was the win­ner of the Peo­ple’s Choice award.
