Registrations open

-

Registrations for the 2018 Hatuma Lime Half Marathon opened yesterday, with changes being made to better cater for the competitors.

After attracting a record turnout of more than 400 entries in 2017, the event committee have added new initiatives to provide a better experience for competitors.

This year’s event will see a new partnership with Trident Results to manage all registrations and timing. This change in timing format will provide more options for participants including the ability to provide real time updates and split timing results, greater timing accuracy, printable certificates, and the ability to register multiple entries for multiple events.

The event caters for the whole of the community with options including the Hatuma Half Marathon along with a 10km distance with options for both runners and walkers.

With a relaxed, family friendly atmosphere, the event is sure to bring in yet another large crowd to the streets and paths of Waipukurau. Along with the new partnership with Trident, the loyal sponsors from 2017 have recommitted, with Hatuma Lime Company again leading the charge.

Hatuma Lime Company director Aaron Topp said the company was proud to have been the primary sponsors of the event since 2013.

“I believe the key to the growing popularity of the event has been the community involvement and mix of competitive and family participants. The event is also seen as great drawcard for visitors to CHB with the event now enticing many participants from out of the region to compete.”

The 2018 Hatuma Lime Half Marathon will take place on Sunday, September 16 in Waipukurau as part of the Spring Fling Carnival.

To register for the event, visit www.tridentresults.com. With the first 100 people that register for the event receiving a complimentary 2018 Hatuma Lime Half Marathon T-shirt, competitors are encouraged to register early.
