CHB players selected for 2018 Magpies

A number of CHB rugby players have been named in the Hawke’s Bay Magpies’ 35-man squad for this year’s Mitre 10 Cup.

Northfuels central captain and lock Tom Parsons will pull on the Magpies’ black-and-white jersey again after three seasons with the Manawatu¯ Turbos.

He will play alongside his Central teammates, second-five Pasqualle Dunn and prop Ben May, who are both returning Magpies.

Talented Chiefs playmaker, Tiaan Falcon, a former pupil at Pukehou School in CHB who played club rugby for Clive this year, is also back at first-five for the Magpies.

New coach Mark Ozich’s squad announced last week contains 18 new faces and a total of six players from his unbeaten national champion Hastings Boys’ High School team from last year.
