■ A shoplifter went into the Unichem phar­macy in Waipuku­rau on Au­gust 25 and stole a bot­tle of per­fume val­ued at $180. He was cap­tured on the shop se­cu­rity cam­eras (pic­tured). We would ap­pre­ci­ate any help in iden­ti­fy­ing him.

■ The fol­low­ing peo­ple have war­rants to ar­rest for fail­ing to ap­pear in court on Mon­day, Septem­ber 17. Con­nor Michael Har­ri­son Taiki Deejay Win­kle­man Margie Hinemoa Wharekawa.

These peo­ple are ad­vised to make a vol­un­tary ap­pear­ance at the Hast­ings court to avoid be­ing ar­rested and spend­ing the night in po­lice cus­tody.

■ On Septem­ber 15, a 47-year-old male driver was stopped on Rus­sell St, Waipuku­rau, and breatht­ested. He re­turned a re­sult of 880 mcg per litre of breath. His li­cence was im­me­di­ately sus­pended for 28 days. He ap­peared in court on Septem­ber 17 and re­ceived a $700 fine and given the op­tion to fit an Al­co­hol In­ter­lock de­vice to his car. This de­vice re­quires the driver to pro­vide a sam­ple of breath be­fore it al­lows the car to start.

■ On Septem­ber 16, a res­i­den­tial prop­erty on To­tara St was bur­gled and a 32’ Sam­sung TV, a DVD player, a lap­top com­puter and cloth­ing was taken.
