■ A shoplifter went into the Unichem pharmacy in Waipukurau on August 25 and stole a bottle of perfume valued at $180. He was captured on the shop security cameras (pictured). We would appreciate any help in identifying him.
■ The following people have warrants to arrest for failing to appear in court on Monday, September 17. Connor Michael Harrison Taiki Deejay Winkleman Margie Hinemoa Wharekawa.
These people are advised to make a voluntary appearance at the Hastings court to avoid being arrested and spending the night in police custody.
■ On September 15, a 47-year-old male driver was stopped on Russell St, Waipukurau, and breathtested. He returned a result of 880 mcg per litre of breath. His licence was immediately suspended for 28 days. He appeared in court on September 17 and received a $700 fine and given the option to fit an Alcohol Interlock device to his car. This device requires the driver to provide a sample of breath before it allows the car to start.
■ On September 16, a residential property on Totara St was burgled and a 32’ Samsung TV, a DVD player, a laptop computer and clothing was taken.
