Robinson played in two successful World Cup campaigns with the Black Ferns. The former loose forward played 18 tests between 1996 to 2002 before moving into sports journalism and presenting. Now a regular on SKY Sports, Robinson is a host of Super Rugby and Mitre10 Cup build ups, hosts the ANZ Championship and international netball build ups, and provides a key insight into the growing women’s game.
Nicki Heremaia, Sport Hawke’s Bay community sport development officer for Central Hawke’s Bay, says, “The CHB Mail Central Hawke’s Bay Sports Awards continue to recognise the outstanding achievements of Central Hawke’s Bay athletes, coaches and officials.
“We have so many amazing athletes and administrators from CHB that make a difference in our community. The awards are a chance for the sporting sector to come together and recognise all that make sport great in CHB from grassroots through to elite level. It’s a great, affordable night out to celebrate our community’s success.”
