Service to remember

Following a very old custom known as All Souls’ Day, CHB’s Anglican Churches will be holding special services next week for anyone who wishes to remember those who have died.

This is an opportunity for family members and friends to spend a special time remembering their loved ones and to light a candle in remembrance of them.

This short service is open to anyone who has experienced a bereavement, either recently, or many years ago. You don’t have to be a regular churchgoer or an Anglican.

There are four opportunities to attend:

■ Friday November 2 at St Mary’s, Waipukurau, 6pm;

■ Saturday, November 3 at St. Peter’s, Waipawa, 4pm;

■ Sunday November 4 at St James, O¯ tane, 10am; Sunday

■ November 5 at St Mark’s Takapau, 5.30pm.

One of the services will be held in the newly restored St Mary’s Anglican Church in Waipukurau.
