Committee gets A&P Show going for CHB region

CHB Mail - - Focus - BY DAVID POULTON president, CHB A&P Show.

The CHB A&P Association Show is nearly upon us and it is my privilege to welcome you to the 2018 event.

It is a time when town and country combine and is recognition of the interdependence of the two sectors.

The show runs from November 8-10.

Thursday November 8 kicks off with dog trials and dressage competition.

Friday November 9 dog trials continue and equestrian events begin.

Saturday November 10 is the public’s day and there are plenty of events happening throughout the day.

Along with the sheep competition, shearing and woolhandling are starting at 8am, and the dog trial run offs and the equestrian events continue throughout the day.

There are also many trade and exhibitor sites for varied interests. Mahon’s Amusements will be onsite for side show.

Craig Smith, author of the well known children’s book The Wonkey Donkey will be sure to entertain all ages, at two shows at 11am and 2pm.

The show day finishes with the very popular bull riding event which draws a large crowd and a guarantee of thrills and spills.

Behind the scenes there is a hardworking committee whose combined efforts make it all possible.

We look forward to seeing you at this year’s CHB A&P Show.
