Opening night for Little Theatre show
It's opening night this week for
Secret Bridesmaids Business, the final show of Little Theatre's 2019 season.
“Secret Bridesmaids Business was last seen on stage at Little Theatre 15 years ago, and we are incredibly lucky to have one of the original cast members from that show, Debbie Hart, in our 2019 production,” Jules Hamilton says, making her Little Theatre directorial debut.
“She is joined by her real life/ on stage daughter Kristin Hart whose star shines brightly as our beautiful bride.
“They are joined on stage by superb bridesmaids Alanna Barkle and Bryar McKerrow, whose characters are so well drawn you'll recognise them as your own friends.
“Rounding out this cast are Elijah Graham and Lucy Mavin who play groom and ‘friend' and their wonderful performances will have you questioning your own beliefs on relationships.
“A wedding is such a great subject for a storyline. They're full of love and happiness but at the same time fraught with tightly wound emotional drama. To say it's been a pleasure to work with this great ensemble cast is an absolute understatement. Their dedication and commitment to the task at hand has been a joy to behold. I can't wait to share this fantastic Australian play with Little Theatre audiences,” says Jules.
For one performance Little Theatre will be trialling “Pay What You Can Afford”.
Waipukurau Little Theatre wants everyone to be able to experience a play, regardless of budget or experience, so for the Sunday Matinee simply turn up, choose your ticket price (they are $5, $10, $20 and $40) pay on the door and enjoy the show. The curtain goes up at 2.30pm and it's first come, first served so don't miss out.
