Working hard to make the region thrive and prosper
II’ve worked hard for Tararua. I have deep roots in the electorate and I care deeply about making it thrive and prosper.
t’s been an honour to be a listMPsince 2017. Ihave been determined to provide effective and vigorous representation for the people of the Tararua District, advocating for our region every chance I’ve had. I’ve worked hard for Tararua. I have deep roots in the electorate and I care deeply about making it thrive and prosper. We’ve achieved a lot together, including:
■ Supporting businesses and jobs with the wagesubsidy, small business loans scheme and redeployment training programmes like the $574,000 for Tararua REAP.
■ Funding the ManawatuGorge replacement, with work already under way.
■ Getting $14.6m for Route 52 upgrades.
Helping youth, job seekers and employers with free apprenticeships and trades training.
Getting $400,000 for a regional digital hub in Woodville and $60,000 for the Tararua District Tourism and Trails Strategy.
■ Funding twonewclassrooms for Pahiatua School along with every state school getting between $50,000 and $400,000 to address long-overdue maintenance.
Biggest ever one-off increase for the MidCentral DHB.
Ihave prioritised being visible and accessible across the Tararua District. Your vote for Labour, and for me, willmeanthat for the first time in a long timewewill have a localMP at the heart of government. AndI’ll havemore resources to better represent you in Parliament.
