Plenty to smile about in Central HB

-

Thumbs up: to the staff at New World Waipukurau for the little toys my 5-year-old got to pick out on our recent shopping trip. Safe to say he was stoked, you made his day!

Thumbs up: to Steven Green of Waipawa who greets everyone in the neighbourhood with a cheery “have a nice day.” You make everyone’s day better. Good on you.

Thumbs up: to Vet Services Waipukurau for the amazing care and attention and love they gave to my George. Even as heartbreakingly I had to put him to sleep, the caring has been appreciated in this incredibly hard time.

Thumbs up: for the wonderful effort Curtis Fabrics put into their many window displays. Always put a smile on your face. Thank you!

Thumbs up: to the household in Bibby St Waipawa who have decorated their fence with Christmas tyre art, those cute snowmen made me smile today, fabulous!

Thumbs up: to everyone who braved the perfectly imperfect Christmas photo sessions I held on the weekend in Waipawa, you guys made my weekend! Freedom Photography.

Thumbs up: to all the Sanctuary Sounds festival attendees who made our weekend so enjoyable.

Thumbs up: to Helen Griffin for writing and directing the Waipawa Musical & Dramatic Club Snow White pantomime and to everyone who performed in it or was involved. Well done!

Thumbs up: to Countdown staff all dress to the festive nines. Brightened my day, and I’m sure

many others.

Thumbs up: to the awesome Christmas Carnival! Well done Waipukurau!

Thumbs down: to the traffic both trucks and cars who speed through the drop out by Butler’s on Pourerere Rd, it’s a priority give way with speed restrictions and blind because on top of a hill. My fiancee has been bullied off the road several times in a couple of weeks when she comes home and has right of way. Slow down you can’t see and you’ll be liable in court.

Thumbs up: to Jaimee Schimanski Wills for being such a massive chef for our kids at Porangahau School, so good, kids love it.

Thumbs up: to those customers supporting local by shopping local for Christmas gifts.

Thumbs up: to our Sadi Molloy.

Six years of amazing photos . . . here’s to many more.

Thumbs down: to the motorcyclist that zooms up and down Harker St with no helmet. All it takes is a loose stone . . .

Thumbs down: to the high traffic speeds down Tavistock Rd.

Thumbs down: to those that run the red light at Wanstead.

Thumbs down: to the cars waiting for the dump to open who don’t pull over off the road enough to give vision to the cars coming up behind them and needing to get around.

Thumbs down: to Silver Fern Farms, my partner has done 20 years out there and only got a thank you letter. For 20 years?

Thumbs down: to the clowns who steal/destroy hard-working people’s Christmas decoration displays.

?? ?? Thumbs up: to the Central Hawke’s Bay Christmas Carnival.
