A new movement aimed at reducing plastic use and rubbish on the Coromandel is gaining momentum and will be out in force on Saturday.

Organiser Jo Sanderson says the concept is in its infancy, however the group of volunteers onboard so far hope to help grow it into something more significant.

“It’s about influencing a culture change to get people to pick up rubbish rather than walk past it.
