Time to plan your Christmas parade float

Coastal News - - News -

With fewer than 50 days until Christmas, the Whangamata Lions Club is encouraging clubs and businesses to start getting creative and have some fun putting together a float for the Lions Christmas parade on Saturday, December 8 at 3pm.

“It’s free to enter a float and always fun to be part of the parade with all of the crowd watching on, enjoying your efforts,” says Geoff March from the Whangamata Lions.

“Now’s the time to think about showcasing your group, organisation, schools or club to the Whangamata Community by creating and building a float. The float doesn’t have to be a professionally built creation, it is all about the fun of making something as a team.”

The Coastal Rockers float from previous years. The club is hoping to find a vehicle that could be used for this year and would like to hear from anyone who can offer the use of a truck. Please contact Grace Patterson at grace@moanahouse.nz if you can help.
