Plan before you party please

Coastal News - - News - Happy days Whangamata¯ Police

Police were kept busy on Saturday night with drunken behaviour and some trying to obstruct police from doing their duty.

As I said last week, plan before you party to ensure you have a great night out. Remember failing to do so and acting up will most likely get you a free night in the local cells .

Also police would to hear from anyone who can help identify the No Brainers who were doing burn outs on casement road last weekend. Call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.

We have also bumped into some shady characters hanging around the forestry, even snapped one running for his/ her life as police approached. Hope they didn’t pull a hammy.

So if you’re hanging around the forestry, I’m sure we will meet soon, as drugs have no place in our local community.

Speeds are also creeping up round town. Police have been dishing out a infringement notices on a daily basis, and saying “it’s ok I’m a local” won’t get ya off — let’s keep our roads safe, so please let’s all pull together and make this happen. Checkpoints will be ramping up so please have your car up to date and remember Christmas can be expensive so make sure you spend your cash in the right areas.

Otherwise have a great week and let’s hope the weather plays ball. Hope the boats are well tuned by now
