Crimestoppers catches crims

Coastal News - - News -

Crimestoppers information is flying in — no honour among thieves or druggies.

Please keep it coming on 0800 555 111.

Police have been flat out with shocking alcohol harm that affected this community last weekend.

Again danger signs of extreme boozing are creeping in, so please look after each other.

More boats are being targeted by thieves so to all boat owners please take note. This is happening all over town.

A male was disturbed recently hanging around a property in the eastern part of town. Police are keen to hear from anyone who saw a medium-build European male with a slight moustache and a deep voice, hanging around over the last few days.

Police are cracking down on alcohol harm as we have been seeing too much trauma in recent weeks. Bar owners, please be responsible for who you allow to drink and dine in your establishments.

Police will be checking all licences and that duty bar managers have the right requirements and are not hanging around the back while alcohol is sold.

Shame about the weather, but Whangamata¯ has been looking sharp. A big shout out to a fantastic community. I can’t wait to show us off when the masses arrive.

Keep safe and happy days.
