LONDON CALLING
Alex Davies, owner and head chef of acclaimed restaurant Gatherings in Christchurch, is heading to London to show the Poms how we do sustainable New Zealand cuisine. Alex will be presenting a pop-up Gatherings experience on 4 June at the celebrated Rochelle Canteen ICA. He was invited by the owner of the restaurant, acclaimed chef Margot Henderson, who is herself a Kiwi. For Alex it’s back to his roots, as Gatherings evolved from a pop-up series before opening as a permanent entity in early 2017. He also swapped restaurants with Tom Hishon from Orphans Kitchen for a week in Auckland in 2018.
