Amisfield is home to our Cuisine Good Food Award-winning Chef of the Year Vaughan Mabee, so it stands to reason this superb winery restaurant should be on your radar as one not to miss. Mabee (pictured) and his impressive team work with a dedicated forager and experienced charcutier who hunt, gather and curate ingredients that tell the story of the Central Otago landscape, connecting you to season and place in a spectacular three to seven-course feast. If you’re lucky, you’ll taste the Amisfield pāua pie (winner of Cuisine Best NZ Dish 2018). The wine list has recently been expanded to include a premium offering from around the globe as well as the exceptional wines produced from the winery’s single-estate vineyard. The menu changes frequently but expect a stunning representation of New Zealand food culture, delivered flawlessly, showcasing ingredients at their best alongside intriguing local artisan products.
