We’ve long been a fan of Christchurch homewares heaven Frances Nation, based in the Arts Centre, which supports the work of New Zealand’s best blacksmiths, knifemakers, woodworkers, weavers, hatters, potters and more. Now it’s also nabbed a spot downstairs on the ground floor of the Boys High Building of the Arts Centre to open Frances Nation Grocery stocking freshly baked bread and locally produced pantry items such as cheese, eggs, honey, jams, bottled fruits, flour, vinegar and olive oil – grab a blanket and head over for a lazy picnic in the lovely Botanic Gardens. francesnation.co.nz
