ORIGINALLY FROM Sperlonga, a small town between Rome and Naples, Andrea Marseglia has earned a series of accolades for his bartending skills and his captivating cocktails created at Madame George on Auckland’s

K Rd. He first caught our attention with his riffs on the classic Peruvian Reversed Manhattan and his super aromatic twist on a Vesper. Then it was his beautiful Neighbourhood Foraging series (showcased on his Instagram account at captainspaghetti92) that really piqued our interest. During the first COVID-19 lockdown Marseglia introduced us to the herbs, weeds and fruits that can be found in our own backyard and used to create intriguing ferments and cocktails. His new venture in Napier is named for his grandmother Teresa who gave him his passion for foraging. We are watching…
