KATE FAY – THE NEXT COURSE

-

A shout out to chef Kate Fay who has left iconic Auckland restaurant Cibo after 23 years on the pans. Kate’s fierce dedication to her craft has resulted in the creation of elegant menus that have continued to evolve throughout her career and were undeniably an important ingredient that makes this sophisticated bistro a celebrated long-term player. One of only a few female chefs to ever be named as an Ambassador for Beef + Lamb New Zealand, she is highly respected within our hugely competitive hospitality industry. She is stepping forward with a role as ‘Chef at Large’ at Sabato, artisan cuisine suppliers, based in Auckland. Kate will be in charge of Sabato’s in-house ‘Our Kitchen’ range of gourmet ready meals and tasked with the development of new products. Having showcased Sabato’s premium ingredients for nearly 30 years in so many of her stunning menus, Kate was delighted when this new role became available, especially since, when she was working at the French Café, she was one of the very first people Sabato co-founders, Jacqui and Phil Dixon, approached when they were introducing their artisan range of ingredients to New Zealand kitchens.
