DOZEN MEAN TO SAY…

Cuisine - - WINE FEATURE / WINE NEWS -

The 12 annual lunar cycles, the 12 apostles, the 12 bottles that make up a case… there was plenty of talk about the special magic and meaning of a dozen when the wine collective known as the Family of Twelve was founded in 2005. That is now exactly 12 years ago. During that time the group of 12 quality-driven Kiwi wineries, all family-owned, has kept to its original brand line-up and true to its founding beliefs, above all the championing of wines of quality and individuality. Says Judy Finn of Neudorf: “The Family of Twelve has taught me the value of good, old-fashioned camaraderie. You can ring anyone in the group about anything and get a completely honest answer… no marketing push. Sometimes I think we don’t appreciate how good it is.”
