Rugged sensors for harsh environments

-

DYTRAN SAYS its new rugged sensors are designed to survive in harsh, high-frequency, high energy environments.

The Dytran 3603AXTseries of triaxial IEPE accelerometers incorporate a mechanically and electrically filtered design that allows the sensor to operate in an environment with highfrequency excitation without causing amplifier saturation and signal over- range.

Sense elements are internally isolated from the outer case and are enclosed by a Faraday shield for good noise immunity. It features the latest in planar shear sensing technology as well as TEDS functionality.

Units have an industry standard 1/4–28 4- pin radial connector and 10– 32 stud mounting capabilities, and are available with a sensitivity range of 1–10 mV/g. Sensors are hermetically sealed for reliable operation in high humidity and dirty environments and case isolated to avoid EMI/ground loop interference. This miniature sensor is packaged in lightweight titanium housing and weighs 30 grams.

Features include:

• Titanium.

• Hermetic.

• Case isolated.

• Low profile.

• Triaxial.

• TEDS options.

• IEPE.
